Face Mask Giveaway to Families in Need

Free masks to families in need

After COVID-19 hit, many were left scrambling to purchase or make face masks as its use was one of the many ways to prevent viral transmission. This was especially true for underprivileged individuals.

Noting the demand for this life-saving attire, we held a "Drive-Thru Free Face Mask Giveaway" event at the Tubman Museum in Macon, Georgia on Saturday 18th July 2020 from 9:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. The giveaway was hosted and sponsored by the Power of Life Foundation, Harold Young, and Johnny Hollingshed.

Following the successful distribution of more than 17,000 free face masks to the public in Tallahassee, Florida, and Birmingham, Alabama we extended our efforts to Macon, Georgia, in order to meet this new basic need of the less fortunate.

live music and food, aimed at bringing people together and creating a sense of community.

Families came out in their numbers expressing sincere gratitude for such a thoughtful initiative.

At the Power of Life Foundation, we strive in everything we do, to ease the pressure felt by communities in need. COVID-19 has increased the tension in these areas. We want to give back in a relevant way and let these residents know, they have not been forgotten.

We thank all those that came out and volunteered to serve this community.

Your unwavering support at a time such as this does not go unnoticed.
