Food and Supplies at Back to School Giveaway

Distribution of necessary supplies for school

The Power of Life Foundation seeks to support individuals from all walks of life. Noting that children are one of our most vulnerable groups, the lack is present for families who are unable to purchase school supplies. It is with this thought that we executed our 2nd “Back to School” Giveaway event at Florida A&M University Tallahassee, on Saturday 24th July, 2021. 

The Foundation's goal was to provide students with the necessary supplies to start the new school year and succeed. We must say a hearty “Thank You” to our co-sponsors and volunteers for their involvement in our mission. We shared over 1,100 backpacks, face masks, hand sanitizers, and socks. We also distributed water and close to 700 food boxes which contained meat, vegetables, dry goods, and a snack box. The event was well attended, and most items were distributed.

We do believe we achieved our goal and we’re looking forward to the same result at our next distribution at Birmingham, Atlanta on Sunday 1st August 2021.
